Mistrust develops when needs are not met and this causes lack of attachment, possible isolation, depression, rebellion, poor self image and lack of achievement. Trust is developed when needs are met and this causes healthy self image, good character, intimacy in relationships, happiness and great achievement!
Through the consistent relationship of a trusting mentor we (from Freedom Life Center) are able to build identity and character of orphaned children and teens. We offer a mentorship program that helps develop children and teens to give them their purpose. The truth of who they are is reinforced at every meeting. The truth that they were created in the image of thier heavenly Father and that they are well loved and of great value is taught to them from God's Word. The foundational scriputre for our mentorship program is, "And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free" (John 8:32).
This mentorship program encourages orphans to reach for thier God given purpose. To see them free from hurts and pains that have held them in bondage. To show them how to embrace their fresh new start as a son and daughter of their heavenly Father through our Lord Jesus Christ. We bring them to a clearer focus as to who they really are, why they are here, and where they belong! You become who and what you focus on therefore the focus is our Father, His Son Jesus and our spiritual family. That is why our program is titled "In His Image." We ae making a difference in the lives of these children and teens.
